Bab 82: 82 Invite to the team
"Yeah, I remember why we had left the city. But what that got to do with anything?" Brian responded in a confused tone.
"It...."
Just as she was about to respond, she noticed a few students walking over to them. Seeing Elizabeth had paused what she was about to say, Brian and Ryan followed her line of sight to see what she was looking at.
There was 2 guys and 2 girls walking to there table. These guys was some of the kids they took the exam with. One of the girls was the exact same wind element user that had beat Brian at the arena.
There was a guy in the front that have a unique presence, he gave off the vibe as if he was the leader of the group. The other 3 kids stayed a step behind him as they made there way to the table.
The guy in front had Viking-gold hair with bristly eyebrows. His defined cheekbones made the light smile he had on seem more charming. From his looks alone you wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of girls fawning over him.
"Hey, we was wondering if you guys would be interested in forming a group together. You should have realized by now that without merit points you won't be able to make any progress in the academy. From what we had found out so far, exploring the dungeon and doing missions is the best way to obtain alot of Merit points." He was looking at Elizabeth the whole time as he was talking.
It was pretty obvious she was the person he actually wanted on the team.
Elizabeth didn't reply back to the guy, she just turned her head towards Brian as if she was waiting for him to say something.
"She had already joined a group, it wouldn't be right to leave just after joining." Brian said to the blonde hair guy.
"Think about it first, It would probably be better if you join with us though, i am pretty sure you 2 haven't join a group yet." He was looking at Brian and Ryan as he said that.
"Im not sure if you had noticed yet, but F grade talents are looked down on. No one would want them on their team, normally the F grade would team up together when doing things. It is pretty obvious our team would be the better team than a team full of F grade talents."
"Why would you even want us on the team, my sister is not the only D grade talent. Plus picking her means you have to pick all 3 of us." Brian asked.
"To be honest she wasn't our first pick but the other D grade talents have a good background and extremely arrogant. They wouldn't want me leading the group and I don't want someone leading me." You can hear a hint of helplessness in his tone.
"I don't know why you would be against forming a group together. Lets be honest here, we all know if she wasn't your sister you or him wouldn't get a invitation to join. But since we would want her to stay in our group we wouldn't treat you badly knowing if we did she would leave the team." He said in a more serious tone.
This time you can see the hesitation in Elizabeth face. You can tell she was actually considering in joining the group but before she could speak Brian spoke.
"What you said make sense but none of us got any experience yet in the dungeons. If you want us to join, give us a week to join. I think it be better for my sister to do missions with an experience group of people first than yall 4. I'm pretty sure none of yall know a thing about heading in a dungeon." Said Brian.
The guy hesitated a little before responding.
"Yeah, you do have a point. So you are joining, but you want to join in a week."
"Yeah it would give us time to get to learn more about the dungeon. If the dungeon are extremely dangerous, I rather my sister stay in a more experienced team for now." Brian replied.
"Alright that would be fine, but I can't guarantee that a spot on the team will still be open in a week. If we find better team members than we will accept them on the team." The blonde hair guy said in a somewhat reluctant tone before turning around and leaving.
The other guy behind him came up to talk to the trio.
He had a kind easy going smile on. He was a buff looking guy with light brown hair that reach to his shoulders. The brightness in his blue eyes would make you feel like he was a naturally friendly person.
"Who should I add as a friend in case we still have a spot open later. You would need a way to getin contact with us." His eyes traveled across the 3.
Elizabeth never liked interacting with people so she didn't respond. Brian was over cautious with strangers thinking everyone have bad intentions so he didn't respond right a way either.
Before things could get awkward Ryan had offered to add him as a friend.
"My name is Ryan, yours." Ryan said with a smile as he extended his risk to tap skynets.
"My name is Adam, nice to meet you." He had responded as his skynet came in contact with Ryan.
"I better get going, I need to catch up with my team." Adam said as he ran back.
"We should join them, he is right." Elizabeth said to Brian once they left.
"I know we should but I think its better to join after a week. You should check and see how good your current team is first while you still have a chance. You could probably learn alot from them, they been here longer. Wait, have they? I just realized I had just assumed they was here longer instead of actually knowing."
"Yeah they are, I had already asked. The team have been formed for 2 years but there had been some changes in the team during the time every so often. They had just lost a person last month on a mission." Elizabeth said.
Hearing that Brian wasn't sure if he should worry more or not. But after a few seconds of wanting to say something to stop her from going, he only sighed in defeat. He realized no matter the choice there will be risks and he could only get stronger himself if he truly want to keep her safe.
"I should be able to finish my classes within a week if I could earn enough merit points. Just learn as much as you can from your team in the mean time and make sure they know there a chance you may leave there group in a week. We don't want them to have any negative feelings towards you if you do leave."
"Alright." Elizabeth responded with not to much emotion in her tone.
"Im about to ask around more about my forging mission today and schedule a class for tomorrow. I need to make sure I don't fail the mission, see ya later." Brian got up and walked away.
Elizabeth noticing Brian was leaving nodded at Ryan and left right after.
Ryan just sat there slightly annoyed, he was just about to learn more about the siblings background. He had gotten alot more curious as time passed on why they chose to leave the city.
