"It doesn't matter, I suppose Your Majesty hasn't come all this way just to tell me that."
Regaining his composure, Westcott asked. Meanwhile, Yuki looked at Westcott's neck where a necklace was missing. This set off Yuki's alarm bells, and he immediately contacted Nia to search for it in Rasiel...
"Where is the Requiem?"
Westcott tilted his head, confused by the gesture towards his neck, then understood what Yuki was referring to.
"Requiem? You mean the Pandora's Box? Is that what you call it?"
For Westcott, the Requiem was a Pandora's box, something that should never be opened as catastrophic things happened, for humanity and for the world.
For example, 30 years ago when he gathered all the spiritual power of the world in one point.
Such a catastrophe was terrifying, yet Westcott did not regret it. This was necessary if he wanted progress, so he was willing to open Pandora's box if needed. Unfortunately, it was too difficult to open and impossible to control.
He never knew what the weapon was called, until now, which is why he became a little interested but then calmed down.
The name of the Weapon didn't matter, what was important was that the Emperor had knowledge of the Requiem.
This confused him a bit because if Yuki knew about such a weapon, it explained why he hadn't come to him before. The Emperor was afraid of Pandora's Box.
This was good news, which is why his smile widened.
"Does the name matter? What did you do with it?"
Yuki's killing intent was escaping, if Westcott didn't have the Requiem then there was nothing to talk about. Yuki would simply kill him, and the fact that he was leaking his intent to kill was all to make Westcott reveal his cards.
"Well, I don't have it... for now."
Leaving that phrase at the end, Westcott moved, walked to a liquor cabinet and poured himself a glass.
"Would you like some?"
"...."
"What a shame...Guh?!"
Neither Yuki nor Natsumi responded to his question, both stared at him fixedly. Westcott didn't care, he shrugged and took a sip.
But before he could stop drinking, the expression on his face changed and he suddenly fell to his knees...
"Cough...cough..."
He grabbed his throat and coughed hard, so much that even blood mixed with his saliva...
Westcott could feel it, something was in his body, destroying his cells and consuming his energy.
"Where is the Requiem..."
Without the Requiem, Yuki used the Apocalypse Virus to test Westcott's words. The result was good, Westcott was being destroyed from within and was unable to counterattack.
It seems he didn't lie, the Requiem wasn't with him. This gave Yuki a very bad feeling. Unfortunately, Nia still hadn't found the whereabouts of the Requiem which increased his sense of foreboding.
"Cough...cough..."
Raising his head, Westcott looked into Yuki's Heterochromatic eyes, one crimson and the other golden, such evil eyes that made him shudder.
However, he wasn't afraid. On the contrary, he smiled. The more he looked at Yuki, the more confident he felt.
He was the existence he had been looking for, no...
It was what was underneath that shell, it was so bright and so powerful that it made his hair stand on end...
"Ah... how wonderful... so much power... I knew it... you are the perfect existence..."
"I'll ask again! Where is the Requiem?!"
The Mangekyou Sharingan spun, increasing the power of the Dojutsu, thus causing immense pain where every cell in Westcott's body crystallized....
"Cough...cough....Guhhh"
Westcott coughed and gritted his teeth in pain, crystals appeared all over his body and his left arm was a mess. There was no doubt, if such a virus continued to attack, he would die...
Still, he didn't give up nor did he beg. On the contrary, his euphoria was greater. He didn't care about the pain, nor the torture, the only thing that mattered to him was that Yuki wasn't strong enough.
Only by being strong can one change the world...
"Ahhh incredible.... you're just an impostor... but you have so much power.... how wonderful will the real one be?..."
"Damn madman..."
Natsumi couldn't stand to look anymore, she covered her eyes with her hands. Westcott was too disgusting and gave her chills. She moved closer to Yuki, only then did she feel safe.
Yuki, on the other hand, frowned more...
The worst people to deal with in torture were those who had fulfilled their work, on the contrary they gained much more, they felt fulfilled.
Westcott was this type, he was so obsessed with his goal that nothing else mattered, even his life was secondary....
"Come on... Your Majesty... do it... finish the job and release your true self.... come on... come on..."
Raising his hands covered in blood and crystal, Westcott's expression was wonderful as if looking at his messiah...
"True self? I am the true one, there is nothing else, your poor eyes don't let you see."
Shaking his head, Yuki mocked. Even if the Demon King is the ego of the Hero of the Void and the authentic Champion, that wouldn't change anything, he is himself and therefore he is the True One.
No matter what others say, that will never change.
"No... you're wrong... you're an impostor... a perfect being and you see yourself as imperfect.... You are worthy and at the same time you are not.... And even if you can't change the world, your inner 'You' can...."
Of course Westcott thought differently. Since birth he had been different from everyone else, he had come into the world with a strong yearning, as if something motivated him to find what was missing.
However, he didn't know what it was, so his childhood was 'normal'.
He grew up in a village of mages who could use sorcery along with Elliot Baldwin Woodman, Ellen Mira Mathers and Karen Nora Mathers.
But his destiny was not peaceful...
One day, a group of normal people who feared the power of the mages set fire to their village. Westcott, Woodman, Ellen and Karen survived and watched their village burn from a distance. This event changed something in Westcott, he found what he had been yearning for since birth.
Subsequently, he obtained the desire to create a new world, one with only mages living in it.
And common 'Humans' had to be destroyed, a desire for 'Chaos'...
Although on the surface his motivation for revenge was his hometown...
However, that motivation was simply a means to an end in convincing his childhood friends to follow him in his twisted objectives.
In fact, during the destruction of his hometown, he even internally thanked the perpetrators, as they gave him the perfect excuse to now act according to his desires without restrictions. It was then that a necklace with a Coffin symbol appeared on his neck, a powerful uncontrollable weapon that could destroy the world.
This became the first step for the creation of DEM.
Westcott, Woodman and Ellen spent their youth learning everything they could about sorcery to find a way to create a Spirit, a being of immense power born from the mana of the world, which they could use to achieve their goal.
Then Westcott discovered that if he was to succeed he had to open the 'gift' on his neck, Westcott named it the 'Pandora's Box'
Almost at the same time, the orphan Westcott was adopted by a rich couple. However, the couple was an impediment to Westcott so the fate of such a couple was tragic ending up dying in an accident, leaving all their fortune to Westcott.
About 30 years ago, Westcott began to set his plan for a new world in motion.
Using a sorcery called <Spirit Formula> that he, Woodman and Ellen had obtained using Pandora's Box, they gathered all the mana of the world in one place and successfully created a Spirit, along with an alternate dimension in the process.
Unfortunately the spirit they created was incomplete, this also caused the first spacequake, which destroyed a large part of Eurasia, from which Westcott, Woodman and Ellen protected themselves by using defensive barriers made with sorcery.
Then, seeing the destruction he had caused, Westcott simply laughed like a maniac, it was so satisfying, the price of using Pandora's Box was worth it...
But this was not enough, he needed more...
The spirit was incomplete, it was not what he desired.
