Bab 26: bruised ego

At the time of midnight, princess Lilith had not woken up from her and the only person who had not left her side was lady Amara.

Though the room was still warm and cozy, the unconscious girl was still cold and her pulse could barely be felt; It was as if her soul had started to leave her body.

"Milady, I don't think that there's anything I can do to help the princess. I have already done the best that I could." Even as the physician uttered those words, he was internally hoping for a miracle. He was not ready to lose his life but everytime he checked on the girl's condition, there was no improvement.

"It's okay Gael, you can have some rest. I will take care of her." Lady Amara told the man who in turn bowed and stepped out of the room.
