Killian followed after her, jumped into the hole, and immediately held her cheek. "She's still awake," he said with a sound of relief in his voice.

Meylee slowly opened her eyes. Sadness could be seen in her eyes. "Forgive me, my lady. It seems even my best is not enough to defeat even one member of the Heralds."

"It's fine; we just need to get out of here," Nadine said.

"Let me heal her," Killian said, and he started to heal Meylee.
