It was like watching the sun set for the last time, knowing that darkness would soon swallow everything. She shouted at me, her voice piercing the air like a desperate plea. "Go! Run away right now!" Her words were sharp, commanding, but I could see the fear behind them, the fear that this might be the end.

I couldn't move. I was frozen, trapped in that moment, unable to control the overwhelming surge of emotions that crashed over me. I couldn't run, not from her. She shrieked again, her voice rising in a frantic pitch as she plunged her nails into her own skin, digging deep, as if trying to hold onto reality. The sight terrified me. My heart pounded with a new kind of fear, a fear that overshadowed everything else. I could fight a hundred people, face a thousand enemies, but I could not fight the woman I loved.
