Bab 89: Volume 1] Chapter 89- Village Chief .

As Jiho and Jihoon reached the gate of the village chief's house, they were met by the sight of an old mer stepping out.

Jiho, with her memory being a jumble of previous owners, couldn't immediately place who he was. Jihoon, however, recognized him and took a step forward, showing respect.

"Hello, grandpa," Jihoon said with a slight bow of his head, his voice carrying a tone of respect and familiarity. "Is the village chief inside?"

The old mer, upon hearing Jihoon's greeting, paused for a moment, his eyes crinkling in a smile as he looked at Jihoon.

"Ah, isn't it mer Jihoon," he replied warmly, his voice carrying a hint of nostalgia.

He took a moment to observe Jihoon, reminiscing about the younger days spent in the village.

"Yes, the village chief is inside. Please come in."

With that, the old mer gestured for Jiho and Jihoon to enter, his demeanor welcoming and friendly.
