Bab 316: How The Plan Came to Be Part VII

“That means you never intended to flirt with Joke from the start?”

Rin blurted out a question that made Joke pause (and Madame Fon smile). When she heard that, Bam only chuckled slightly and shook her head to refuse. However, Madame Fon, and possibly Dani, noticed a strange smile on her charming face.

“That smile is suspicious.”

Dani sneakily turned to whisper with Madame Fon. The latter poked him with her elbow as a warning: “Stop spouting nonsense”.

“After a long investigation to make sure that you could complete this mission, you somehow strode into the underworld before I could get to you,” the president continued. “And the reason behind your action was to meet that boy. It made our work a lot easier.”

He glanced at White Wolf, making the white-haired man softly sigh.

“So, you have investigated me already, long before everything started?”
