Bab 277: Secret Helper Part I

“What happened to your arm?”

The blunt question from Madame Fon momentarily stunned Joke. His rust-colored eyes glanced back at her with an expressionless face that could be called a “poker face”. It did not reveal a single crack for the other person to catch any hint of a lie at all.

“Ah, I was a bit careless yesterday. I fell, so my arm got scratched by something that made a long cut.”

“Right.” Madame Fon chuckled. “Take care of yourself. If you get hurt or fall ill, you might not be able to enter TST. Your dad doesn’t look like the understanding sort, too. If you couldn’t win, no matter the reason, he would still see it as you losing the bet.”

Joke faintly smiled at her warning.

“It’s probably that.”

Then, he exhaled and smoothly walked past the Butterfly shop’s cashier counter. The owner continued her work without a doubt in her mind.
