Jerry smirked. "You can't twist the facts! You're the one who paid her... You gave her a lot of money so she could leave Carson City after that night. That's why you didn't have much money left when Valerie needed help. You only gave her a little money to go to Arizona, then asked for my help to give her a little money for a new apartment..."

"Jerry..." Samuel narrowed his eyes at Jerry. "You know I'm not rich, I haven't had much savings because I've been helping my family's economy... That's why I couldn't help Valerie much... You don't need to make up stories if you want to support Damian to get her back... Don't be a liar!"
