Bab 88: Clara's honesty

Clara trembled, looking at Jerry's terrifying gaze, even feeling pain in her cheeks from his grip.

"Tell me!" Jerry exclaimed, pressing Clara's cheeks harder.

"I... I'll tell you," Clara whispered fearfully. "But let me go... You're hurting me..."

Jerry immediately released his grip on Clara's cheeks, sighing heavily with a blank stare.

"Now tell the truth!"

"Yes... It's true," Clara said shortly, averting her gaze. "Everything that happened between Valerie and Damian, it was because of me and I was ordered by Samuel... It was because he wanted Valerie..."

Jerry remained silent, but his breath suddenly caught, as if pained by the confession. In an instant, he remembered how Samuel had asked for his help to keep Valerie hidden, but it turned out it was all because of Samuel, maybe he had already influenced Valerie to always want to stay away from Damian.
