Bab 83: He comes again

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you ..."

The song woke Valerie from her deep sleep. She quickly sat up and noticed her family filling her room, even Daniel being carried by Hannah though he had slept with her before.

"Make a wish!" Adriana sat on the edge of the bed, presenting a chocolate cake with cream forming the words "Happy Birthday Valerie" to Valerie. "Make your wish."

"Umm..." Valerie felt nervous, brushing her hair aside as she gazed at the 25-shaped candles, then closed her eyes. 'God, I don't want anything. Just keep me and my family healthy and safe... Guide me towards goodness... Calm my heart.'

She opened her eyes again and blew out the candles.

"Yeah, happy birthday!" Everyone cheered, applauding.

They all exchanged congratulations, and gifts, and ate cake together in the dining room, even enjoying breakfast dishes that had been prepared who knows when.
