Bab 72: Hidden plan

The next day...

Damian came home early in the morning and hurried to the kitchen to pick a drink, but he was immediately greeted by his mother who was preparing breakfast.

"Did you just see her?" Elena asked.

Damian remained silent, grabbed a cold coffee, poured it into a thick glass, and then put it in the microwave.

"Hey..." Elena opened the microwave again and took the coffee. "You can't do this, it could harm your health!" She placed the coffee on the table, then took an empty glass and placed it in the coffee maker.

Damian sighed, leaning his body against the pantry counter while waiting for his mother to make coffee for him.

"What happened? You look unhappy even though you've just been with her, right?" Elena wondered.

"Your husband is causing trouble again," Damian replied curtly. "He's insane..."

"What did he do? Did he threaten her again?"
