Bab 146: What are We?

"You're here," Ye Heng said when he noticed that Tang Shi Yi was standing at the side. He pointed to the kitchen bar. "Go ahead and take a seat."

Tang Shi Yi followed Ye Heng's line of gaze. Then, she pulled out a bar stool and took a seat.

From where she was seated, Tang Shi Yi was able to watch Ye Heng as he worked.

Tang Shi Yi was unable to hide her awe. She could tell that Ye Heng was someone who often entered the kitchen to cook.

She quickly shifted her gaze when Ye Heng walked over with a bowl of noodles to her.

"Eat this," Ye Heng said. "You will feel better."

"You made this?"

Ye Heng smiled. "I bought it. The noodles turned cold while I was waiting for you to wake up."

Oh. It turned out that Ye Heng was only warming the food.

Tang Shi Yi picked up the cutlery on the table. She tasted the soup first before trying the noodles. The soup tasted fresh and light.
