Dunice weighed the offer carefully. A man who was ready to accept her and her kid, Alix, unconditionally. Her daughter would have a father figure in her life, and she would finally be able to live a comfortable, stable life. She thought about it for a moment, then looked up at Richard with a hint of determination.
