Scarlett mentally connected with him using their Bond, her voice feeble. 'Ethe…'

"Give…" He stuttered and walked towards the 8-meter-long Storm Dream. "Give her back!"

The creature looked at him curiously. "Why should I? Now she is mine."

Had his Dimensional Powers worked… Ethan could have brought her into his Dimensional Pocket, and this would have been nothing. But it was absolutely useless. He tried and tried, but his powers didn't work at all.

Dimensional Abilities… were useless against higher-level enemies. 

It was just a painful fact.

His heart grew heavy and foreboding. 

A long silence settled on the Black Forest, and Ethan looked at the Patriarch with eyes as dead as a dead fish. 

"What do you want from me in order to give her back?"
