Bab 119: Sadly mistaken

Aiden had been mad at Maxixe for ruining Lady Kaoma's debut to the Winter Court society. 

Instead of returning with the Fairhurst's, Aiden had chosen to go and look for his mistress to work off his frustration with Maxixe and the abrupt ending of the ball. 

Maxixe imagined that after several rounds of invigorating sex Aiden was probably lying down in bed with his mistress roasting his toes in front of a well lit fireplace. 

While Maxixe reasoned he was about to lose his own precious toes to frostbite.

It was simply too much for one night, the directions that he had been given by the coachman made Maxixe feel like he was walking around aimless.

They had crashed in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but the dark forbidding wilderness for miles around.
