Bab 22: An open invtation

No one joined her in the carriage when she felt it moving again but it felt like an hour or two later before they pulled up at the next destination.

She figured they were on their way to the midget's farm since he gave them all an open invitation.

When the carriage stopped she wasn't surprised that no one came to help her get out the carriage this time around, not after the last stunt she pulled with Maxixe.

When she managed to get down from the step that the coachman put, Jax woke up but was hungry, drowsy and irritable. 

The men had already dispersed and neither Aiden or Zori was nowhere in sight to ask where she should go or what she should do next.

Unbeknownst to her the ban on his powers and that of his men was slowly receding now that they returned to their rightful place.

"Looking for me?" Maxixe suddenly asked from behind.

Startled, she turned around quickly to face him, it felt like her mind was playing tricks on her.
