Author's Note: This story is based on the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, which has some variations from the anime. If you find any discrepancies in the dialogues or scenarios, I invite you to research how it was in the manga. It's a story of short chapters, as I find it unnecessary to be a detailed episode (I don't know how to write long chapters).

Flashback, September 22nd.
A dark-haired young man, Megumi, was thrown back forcefully, his body hitting the ground with a dull thud.
"It's over, I won again," said a white-haired man, Gojo, with a satisfied smile.
"But how unusual, you don't usually ask me for training help," Gojo mentioned, his tone full of curiosity as he watched Megumi, who seemed quite grumpy, sit on the ground.
"Do you feel pressured by Itadori's progress now that he surpassed you?" Gojo asked, his voice full of understanding. Megumi did not respond, but the fact that he looked away was enough for Gojo to know he was right.
"Listen, Megumi," Gojo began, his tone became more serious, "I think you have as much or equal potential as Itadori." Megumi noticed that Gojo did not mention talent, but decided not to comment on it.
"But your problem is mentality," Gojo criticized, "You don't know how to bring out the best in you, do you? Or rather, you can't," Gojo concluded, leaving Megumi surprised.
"Ahh? Are you saying I'm not giving my best?" Megumi replied, his tone annoyed.
"It's not that you don't, it's that you can't," Gojo clarified, leaving Megumi even more confused. "There's something that differentiates you and Itadori, also me, since we're at it," Gojo mentioned, his enigmatic smile.
"For example, the other day when we played baseball, you bunted with the purpose of getting yourself out so that Nobara could steal bases," Gojo recalled, using a recent incident as an example to illustrate his point. "Itadori and I, on the other hand, would have looked for a 'homerun'," he concluded, hinting that the difference lay in their attitude.
Gojo continued speaking while Megumi listened attentively "I'm not saying the bunt was wrong, baseball is an individual sport and it's played as a team" Gojo clarified "But sorcery is an individual job, right?" Gojo compared, stating the harsh reality of their craft.
"Coordination with other sorcerers is important" Megumi defended.
At this moment Gojo had approached Megumi, so he crouched down in front of him "Well, yes" He accepted his master's defense "But no matter how many allies surround you…one always dies alone" He continued his attack.
"The difference between you and Itadori, is that Itadori imagines himself being the strongest, even more so with his new development…" The white-haired man hinted "Itadori saw the strongest and did not bow his head, he proposed to stand in front of them as an equal" Gojo said with a smile, proud of his student's attitude.
"You can't imagine yourself being stronger than your current state, you don't think about being the strongest, with that thought you will never reach me and you might not even reach Nanami," Gojo concluded, his tone full of sincerity. "Dying to win and risking your life to win are not the same" Megumi's eyes sparkled in understanding.
"I'll tell you what I told Itadori weeks ago…" Megumi listened attentively. "Enter the battle with your head held high, let no thought of defeat cross your mind."

He tapped his fingers against Megumi's forehead who blinked at the contact, recording his next words in his psyche.
"Aspire to more, give it your all, Be proud"
Gojo stood up in a quick movement, walking towards the door. "Rest, you have an early mission tomorrow," the master reminded, walking a bit until he stopped, remembering something. "By the way, tell Itadori not to forget his firefighter," he said, leaving Megumi confused.
Megumi did what Gojo told him, passing the message to Itadori the next day. However, Itadori's reaction was simply a confused "Eh?".
Hours later, In the car, Itadori grabbed his face and screamed "I forgot Kyugo!" Confusing his companions.
End Flashback
The scene changed drastically, showing an unconscious Megumi, his body slammed against a wall and his head covered in blood. The brutality of the combat was evident in his state.
He slowly opened his eyes, his blurry vision revealing the figure of a curse gloating in the distance. "How many seconds was I unconscious?" he wondered, his mind struggling to remember the details of the combat. He realized that his demon dog had been unsummoned when he lost consciousness, a sign that the battle had not gone well.
He remembered that they had quickly found the curse's domain. Nobara had been captured by an external enemy and Itadori had gone to save her after his opponent also escaped.
(Author's note: I'm too lazy to write the whole fight of Megumi when I have no interest in giving him a double power up, so I'll skip it)
'An imposing presence appeared' A man dressed as an erotic dancer thought. 'Did Sukuna's finger leave the barrier? If a sorcerer exorcised the finger's bearer, he must be very good' The man praised Megumi.
Nobara, in front of him, also felt the presence of Sukuna's finger 'Was it Itadori?' She assumed the most optimal situation.
But she couldn't think too much about the situation, as the man started to escape in a peculiar way: Jumping backwards without turning his back.
"Don't you think you underestimate me too much by escaping like this!?" Nobara claimed, running after him.
"I'm just complexed by my back" The man admitted "And let it serve you as a warning, if you see it… I'll kill-" Before he finished his threat, his brother and Itadori came out through the hole in the wall.
"Brother! Run!" A blue mass of flesh screamed in fear after crossing the hole, it looked like a curse.
The man, noticing the seriousness in his brother's tone, turned around looking for the reason for his desperation.
As he turned around, the man understood the reason for his unease. A pink-haired young man stood out in the scene, his fists were wrapped in flames and his clothes were charred. 'Could it be Yuuji Itadori?' He asked himself, remembering the warning his brother had given him before leaving. 'What bad luck', he lamented silently.
"If you come across a pink-haired boy, you must escape immediately. Your life is more important than this mission," a spiky-haired man had told his brothers in front of him.
"Why, brother? Who is this boy?" asked the mass of flesh, confused by the gravity of his older brother's warning.
"It's Yuuji Itadori. Although his rank is not yet official, Suguru admitted that he is a special grade sorcerer due to his exceptional strength. However, they don't want to grant him the title due to his situation as Sukuna's Vessel," explained the older brother, trying to make them understand the seriousness of the situation.
Hechizu, distracted by his memory, was exposed to an attack from Nobara, and she didn't waste the opportunity. The man, surprised by the blow, skated on the ground, ending up in front of Yuuji Itadori, with his brother hiding behind him. "I'll punish you later for seeing my back," the man murmured to his brother, his voice full of determination.
He needed to think quickly of a plan to get out of there alive, even with Yuuji Itadori on the battlefield, the boy's presence was imposing.
"Are you okay, Nobara?" asked the pink-haired boy, approaching her.
"Yes, and you?" the girl asked in return. Itadori just smiled. "Perfectly!".
The man, aware that he couldn't overpower his opponents, decided to resort to strategy. He began to slowly drip blood from his back, a detail that went unnoticed by the two present sorcerers.
"This is a misunderstanding…" the man began, tentatively testing the ground. "We're not here to fight," he affirmed, leaving both sorcerers surprised by his apparent pacifism.
"What are you talking about?!" exclaimed Nobara, her defiant attitude on full display.
"We came here with the same objective as you, to exorcise a curse. We are not enemies!" the man defended himself. His brother, injured and burned, trembled behind him.
"What are you?" asked Itadori, confused by the man's appearance, which although mostly human, was not biologically possible.
"That's offensive…" the man replied, causing Itadori to bow down in apology.
"My name is Hechizu," the man introduced himself, then pointed to his brother. "He is Ezou, my brother." He then made a gesture with his arm indicating that he was pointing at both of them. "We are half curse…" confessed Hechizu, leaving the sorcerers surprised.
He began to explain, while his back continued to drip blood slowly down his legs and crawl underground. "I was born from an experiment conducted 150 years ago by Noritoshi Kamo."
The mention of that name left Itadori and Nobara surprised, but for different reasons.
"Noritoshi Kamo?!" shouted Nobara, surprised at the mention of the most evil sorcerer in history.
"Is he that old?!" shouted Itadori, thinking they were talking about the sorcerer from the Kyoto school. This was met with a blow from Nobara, who took a moment to explain to her partner.
"Noritoshi Kamo was one of the most evil sorcerers in history, perhaps the most evil. He conducted an experiment with a woman who gave birth to beings half curse and half human," the woman explained, while Itadori nodded in understanding.
"We don't seek to fight. We isolated ourselves from society because we were discriminated against and when we felt a curse, we thought of exorcising it…" lied Hechizu, needing more time to carry out his plan.
"Why?!" asked Itadori, doubtful, but did not wait for the man's answer.
"We wanted to help," the man slowly said, although Nobara did not believe that answer. "But you are half curse!" the girl pointed out.
"That's discriminatory, Nobara, apologize!" Itadori claimed, shaking Nobara by the shoulders.
"Don't worry, we're used to this," the man said in a tone of resignation. "Now that everything is clear, we can take separate paths and go our own way…", he proposed, slowly backing away.
"But why did you attack me?!" asked Itadori, pointing accusingly at Ezou.
"Ehhh…" Ezou was left speechless, raising the suspicions of the two sorcerers.
"And why were you heading towards the finger?!" shouted Nobara, raising her own question.
Then, Itadori asks, "Did you come looking for the finger? Did a man with stitches send you?!", referring to Mahito.
But Hechizu, hearing the mention of a man with seams, thought they were referring to Geto. Assuming that his true identity had been discovered, he decided to put his secret plan into action.
Throughout the conversation, he had been stealthily introducing his blood into the earth, accumulating liters and liters underneath Nobara and Itadori.
"Run, Ezou!" shouted Hechizu, turning around and running away, his brother following closely behind.
"Wait!" shouted Itadori and Nobara, but before they could move, a large wave of blood surged up from beneath them, blocking their path on all sides.
Itadori, the pink-haired young man, clicked his tongue in frustration. He knew he had the ability to pursue his adversaries, but Hechizu, cunningly, had made Nobara the target, leaving him with a dilemma: save Nobara or pursue his enemies?
Without wasting time, he made a decision. He grabbed Nobara and, with superhuman strength, threw her into the sky, away from the imminent danger.
Now, Itadori found himself surrounded by waves of blood. He clicked his tongue again, annoyed. From the sky, Nobara shouted worriedly: "Itadori!", seeing how Itadori was engulfed by the waves of blood.
BOOOOOOM
Suddenly, a large explosion erupted from where Itadori was, revealing Itadori, unharmed, in the middle of a 100-meter diameter crater.
Nobara, who was just beginning to fall, was able to be aware of this fact from the sky. "You're amazing, Itadori," she said, a smile of admiration drawn on her face as she witnessed her partner's current strength.
Itadori looked up, revealing eyes that shone red. Seeing his partner falling, he jumped into the air and, releasing flames from his arms and feet as thrusters, he landed softly, holding a blushing Nobara in his arms.
"Put me down!" demanded Nobara, struggling to free herself from the bewildered Itadori's grip.
Obediently, he lowered her to the ground, still confused by Nobara's reaction.
"Itadori…" Nobara began slowly, looking up at the starry sky. "Yes?" responded Itadori, following her gaze to the sky.
"You're naked," Nobara said in a low voice, almost like a whisper.
Itadori looked down and screamed in shock: "I'm exposed!"
This caused Nobara to laugh, realizing that, although Itadori had proven to be very strong, he was still the same fool as always.
At the same time, at a distance, 2 brothers were trying to catch their breath.
"Did they follow us?" Ezou asked.
"I don't think so, we're very far away" He said carefully, until he noticed something. "Rain?" He questioned, feeling drops falling on him, until he looked more closely at the said drops, which made his eyes open in astonishment.
'Blood!?'
That day, the reports warned of a blood rain in a 15Km radius area.

Honestly, I didn't want those guys to die, so I looked for a way for them to live.
If anyone thinks it doesn't make sense for them to escape from Itadori, Hanami ran away from Gojo twice, and that doesn't make him stronger than him.
Hechizu dialogued with Itadori and Nobara to give him enough time to gather enough blood, he also pointed to Nobara as a bet that Itadori would save her.
