"Oh, it looks like you're done here, Alpha, I expected no less from you," Came Gamma's voice, her footsteps echoing out as I made myself comfortable in the seat at the head of the table in the main room of the council building.

"Yes, I wrapped up my end of things a short while ago, it was quite remarkably easy, I must say. But then I suppose that is only natural, these inferior creatures could never truly threaten me. Unfortunately, the leaders of the nation appear to have already fled, but no matter, it is of little consequence. It will make no difference once this nation is firmly under our grasp," I replied with a chuckle, before adding, "And what of the others? How have they fared against their opponents?"
