Bab 110: One Hundred and Tenth

She stared up at him as her cheeks flushed hot pink. Her heart fluttered and her hands curled at her sides, grasping onto fistfuls of her dress.

Her eyes focused on his.

It felt like...

Like his gaze was pulling her in, hypnotizing her, keeping her locked in the moment with him.

And she would not object to that.

His smile was still so gentle. 

So soft.

Almost too restrained and controlled for the freedom swirling all around them.

But...

"You're so...so...." He cupped her chin gently, pressing his lips to hers. "Beautiful. Do you know that? Truly?"

"I-I...don't think-...."

His soft kiss interrupted her protests, stealing away the words she'd planned to say.

"You are beautiful, Emily." He whispered. "In ways I wish I could express with words..."

She kissed him back, closing her eyes again.

His lips felt...

Soft.

Smooth like silk.
