Bab 185: Check the mail

With that thought in her mind, Daisy knocked on the door. After a few moments, the door opened. 

Ivy looked like her usual lively self. When she arrived at the mansion after what happened with her in Las Vegas, she had seemed very dispirited but now over the time, she seemed to have been trying to get over it. 

''Daisy?" Ivy was surprised to see Daisy at her door at that hour, ''Didn't you go to work today?" she asked as they walked inside. 

Daisy left Angel on the floor. 

''Vi...'' the little girl looked at Ivy. 

Ivy smiled and picked her up to her lap. 

''I took a day off,'' Daisy answered, carefully observing Ivy's expressions. 

But nothing seemed amiss at all.

''There are a few things that I want to discuss with you.''
