Once they were settled inside, Ryle draped the overcoat on the mother and daughter, reclining the seat back into a more comfortable position.

Daisy leaned her head back in a more relaxed posture and watched the man fussing around before he eventually went back to the driver's seat.

He promptly turned off the AC in the car and double-checked if the seatbelt was secured properly around the mother and daughter.

And throughout the process, Daisy could not take her eyes off the man. She was amused to some extent but also curious.

When Ryle was finally satisfied with everything, he straightened up in his seat. It was only then that he felt a piercing gaze on him.

He raised his head and his eyes met with Daisy who was leaning back on her seat, a few tresses of her hair became loose and fell on her face, her eyes seemed heavy as she blinked slowly as if she could doze off at any point but she was staring at him intently.
