Vampires, a race resembling humans, yet distinct in their need for blood to survive. The absence of blood consumption meant certain death—a well-known fact among many.

Within the vampire community, nobles could abstain from blood for longer periods. Ruby, being of royal lineage, could go days without it. However, certain circumstances sometimes triggered unexpected blood urges.

Pressed against Julius and coupled with the fact that it had been a while since she last drank blood, ended up triggering the circumstance.

"Blood... I want your blood," she breathed heavily, cheeks flushed, and her gaze slowly shifting towards his neck. 

It wasn't just any blood she craved, but specifically his. With his chest close to her face, the rhythmic pounding of his heart became an irresistible temptation. His warmth, scent, and touch stirred a thirst like never before. 

Even Julius was taken aback, sensing her lack of clarity.
