Luca wasn't ignorant of the design on the red leather jewelry box Sophia had just pulled out of her purse. It was a flat rectangle and he had a feeling he knew what was inside.

When she asked if he wanted his Christmas gift early, all he could do was nod.

"I know it's the alpha's job to be possessive, but I can't help the pang of jealousy that appears in my heart whenever I see a woman at your side who isn't me," Sophia admitted quietly. "That's why I decided to take a subtle measure in showing them that you're claimed by someone."

She opened the box and revealed a thin gold bracelet with what looked to be coins surrounding the thin cuff. There was also a key lying against the black velvet.

"Sophia…" Luca trailed off in disbelief, knowing how much that cost her. He didn't think he was worthy of a gift like that.
