"Yes?" Valerius looked at the elder with a questioning gaze. 

The question in his gaze was clear as day. Why had the elder stopped him?

"Young man, it seems like you are in the wrong place," the elder remarked, eyeing Valerius. He was stunned by his beauty, but didn't make any remarks about it. In the end, all will turn to dust and bones. Whether it was a goddess or a greek god, all would vanish with time. Thinking like this, he composed himself. 

"Why do you say so, elder?" Valerius looked up, straight into the elder's eyes and inquired. 

"Only rank-2 licensed wizards who have gained enlightenment are allowed to join the Inquisitor Association, and you... You look too young to have met all these requirements," the elder explained his reason for believing Valerius was at the wrong place, his voice carrying a hint of admonition.

However, he didn't let that get to his head.
