Cheng Dalei stood at the top of the mountain as one by one the leaders climbed up. The mountain path was very narrow, wide enough for only one person to pass at a time. Not until dusk did a dozen or so people manage to reach the top.

"I command you both to take five hundred brothers and escort the elderly, weak, women, and children from the mountain fortress to evacuate."

"Are we retreating?" This was the first time they knew of Cheng Dalei's intentions.

"We cannot hold them off, the weak and vulnerable must leave first." Cheng Dalei said, "You two will descend from here and head to the harbor to find a boat to venture out to sea towards the south, where it's safer."

"Getting through the Rong Clan outside will not be easy," sighed Liu Bei.

"That's why we're leaving in groups, at night, slowly but surely." said Cheng Dalei.

"Slowly? Do they evenplan to give us time?" Liu Bei sighed again.
