Standing by the table serving soup, Tong Yao replied with a grin, "My parents bought it. They heard all the gossip from our sister-in-laws and decided to get us a TV for the sake of appearances."

After washing his hands in the kitchen, Si Chen rolled up his trousers and sat down on a stool in the living room, "I'm off the day after tomorrow. Let's have dinner at my parents'."
