"Yes," Eternity admitted calmly, holding Cynthia's gaze with unwavering resolve. "Yes, I was."
"Now that the cat is out of the bag," Cynthia released a deep sigh, her amusement evident as she spoke sarcastically. "I guess there's no need to pretend I like you, huh?"
"Likewise." Eternity replied as she narrowed her eyes.
Cynthia seemed taken aback by the flip in Eternity's personality.
But to be honest, even Eternity herself was surprised that she was capable of having a bitchy side that was a complete contradiction to the "shy and innocent" personality that Evan wanted her to maintain.
Of course, although she adapted to her lover's preferences and followed Evan's orders, Eternity didn't want to be treated like a mere doormat that Cynthia could step into and have her disunity compromised just to appease Evan.
Also, Eternity wanted to add that it's not like Evan was there to see this side of her, was he?
