Bab 11: Training with an Angel

Deep within the dark void, a realm unknown to no man, bearing remnants of the source itself, a place where fate is forged, where existence truly began, the Garden of Forkways, a maze like labyrinth which belonged to none other than the one who has no name, Destiny, the oldest of the Endless.

As a tall handsome man dressed in sackcloth with a cloak over his head that hid his blinded eyes. He was barefooted like a sage and on his right hand, a large book was chained to his wrist, which he held close in his embrace. He walked through the never ending mazes of his realm until he finally stopped for a moment.

Firmly holding the large book in his right hand, the book that contained all that was, is and will be, he used his left to open the first page, and continued flipping through the pages until the end, before his body shook in response to this unnatural occurrence.

"Interesting. A being that exists outside the control of fate and destiny. I wonder how your presence affects everything O fateless one.."

He lifted his head, showing something that had never been seen since the beginning of time, a smile.

*WHOOSH!*

The next moment, the smile on his face disappeared, as he closed the book of souls and held it in his embrace before going on to address the intruder.

"I wonder what brings you to my humble abode, Lord Samael. To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit.." He turned around and bowed slightly, acknowledging the presence of the being before him.

"Save the pleasantries, Destiny. Our previous grudge still lives on. Now hand over the book of souls. I want to see for myself if this mortal is really fateless as I presume."

Samael spoke and stretched out his hand, gesturing for the oldest of all to hand over his most prized possession, handed over to him by the creator himself.

"I'm afraid I cannot, my Prince. The creator forbids this. The book of souls contains everything that was, is and shall be, and can only be accessed by me. It is a part of the Heavenly Oracles and unless the creator demands it, I'm afraid I cannot heed to your request.."

Destiny spoke in a deep voice, calm and collected, unmoved by the presence of the arguably the strongest being in all of reality.

"Do not force my hand, Destiny. I already spared you once. Don't make me regret my decision!"

Samael roared, as flames blazed within his eyes.

"You cannot destroy me, my Prince. For even as existence still remains, I will forever exist as well." Destiny spoke, unfazed by the literal blazing power that was bursting out of Samael's body with each passing second. A power that seemed to threaten the balance of the multiverse.

"You think I care?!" Samael raised his hand to the sky, summoning a large sword that was covered in blazing golden flames.

"Enough of this Samael!"

Suddenly, a loud voice resounded from within the void, as another handsome man with long golden hair who paled in appearance compared to Samael himself, but bore resemblance to him. His pure white wings fluttered as he descended with righteous fury and a sword in hand.

The newcomer descended behind Samael and Destiny, potentially resolving the clash for now.

"You have been summoned, brother." He spoke, as Samael took in deep breath, calmed himself and bumped shoulders with the newcomer not fearing one bit who he was.

"There won't be a third time, Destiny. Bear this in mind.."

Samael threatened, before he disappeared in a burst of air.

"Your assistance is greatly appreciated, Prince Michael." Destiny nodded to the newcomer who in fact was the half brother of Samael, the Chief Archangel, Saint Michael Demiurgos.

"Sigh. Samael grows uncontrollable each passing day. I fear for the life forms in the multiverse, Destiny. What if he decides to destroy everything. I alone am not enough to face him. Not even the all of the host combined can take him down.."

Michael rested on his sword and sighed, as Destiny walked to him and patted his shoulder.

"You should trust your father, my Prince. Certainly the creator knows it all, and I can assure you He has planned for it all."

Saint Michael nodded and unfurled his wings, before disappearing in a burst of light.

.

*BANG!*

A figure crashed into the ground bathed in blood as his nearly destroyed body reattached and healed themselves.

"Fuck you wheel! I can't believe you still haven't adapted to that son of a bitch!" A few seconds later, Alan sat in a pool of blood cursing his imaginary friend for his loss against the massive beast.

"Calling the Leviathan a bitch when you cannot even handle its offspring is a bit disingenuous, don't you think.."

Suddenly a voice resounded, and a golden haired handsome face dressed in a pure white chiton materialised from within space and stood before him.

"Samael.. I thought you were never going to show up again, you punk!" Alan rolled his eyes and quickly stood up from the embarrassing position he was in.

"I nearly had him in the battle. If only wheel had rotated a bit earlier, I would've grown stronger and won."

Alan facepalmed and glared at the golden wheel before he coldly harrumphed, which brought an unconscious smirk to Samael's face.

"Oh? And what is your wheel supposed to do the beast? Wheel it to death?" Samael laughed sarcastically as Alan sighed.

"Wheel is extremely powerful. Up to now, even I don't know what it is. If it hadn't been for it, I would've died in the previous month that I arrived in this world."

Alan spoke and looked at Samael, who looked at him in confusion.

"And what exactly does it do?"

He asked again.

"It has the power of adaptation. Against a minor phenomenon wheel spins once and allows me to completely adapt to it and grow even more powerful, but against a powerful one like that bastard hiding within the water, it can spin three times which allows me to fully adapt to its strength and make me even more powerful, but for some reason, wheel doesn't seem to want to adapt to that stupid crocodile!"

Alan spoke and ended his statement with a frustrated roar.

"Well if it makes you feel better. The offsprings of the Leviathan are enough to collapse a large island of this was to be in the modern era. So being able to go toe to toe with is not somethings humans should be able to do."

Samael laughed and patted Alan's shoulder.

"Hold on, I have an idea. Why don't you train me?! If I can gain some sort of magical ability from fighting you, then killing that bastard should be easy for me.."

Alan sent an earnest gaze towards Samael.

"Oh? Let us see what you can do then, mortal?" Samael laughed and unfurled his wings, before blasting into the skies. Alan scoffed and unfurled his wings and chased after him.
