Bab 22: CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

"Leave her be!"

The room falls silent afterward, it's as though we were compelled to obey the order from sky knows where, not without wondering where it erupted from. A crazy mixed feeling.

It's certainly not from me, or Dante, or...

I turn, just about the same time Dante does, to find Sasha at the extreme, her petite frame swell with anger, and beneath it, is a taint of fright.

She starts approaching us, and with each step she takes she carefully deliberates. Dante is glued to her aura, totally losing focus on me.

It's like my golden chance, one given to me by the moon goddess herself, and so in that instance, I retreat to the far end of the bed as best as I can, shielding myself from his reach with a crossed arm.

Acting on impulse, Sasha launches herself forward, colliding with Dante, and she almost tumbles over while Dante remains firm. Her lightweight gave her away so shamelessly.
