"I'm married to you, but don't think for one second I'll leave my bakery and everything I'm doing for your sake," Sharon said.
"I thought we talked about this when we met at the party?" Ethan asked, she recalled.
"Oh! That's true," she thought. "Just giving you a reminder," she said, not wanting to embarrass herself in front of him.
"You can do whatever it is you want to do. Live your life the way you want to. No one is going to tell you otherwise, but I just don't want to here that my wife is pregnant with another man's child," Ethan said.
"Just who do you think I am?" she asked, frowning.
"I don't care. I'm just saying," he said standing up. "If you're done, please leave my office. I do not want to have to accuse you of theft," Ethan said, leaving.
"What an arrogant man. I wonder who gave birth to him," Sharon grumbled, leaving his office.
*******************************************************By the time Sharon came down, Ethan and his grandma were already seated and eating.
"Good morning, grandma," Sharon greeted, but Maria huffed.
"I see you're trying to seduce my grandson now," she said, as Ethan sat there eating his food.
"Grandma," he called.
"What! Can't I scold your wife anymore?" Maria asked, frowning.
"Who cares about her?" Ethan asked, turning to Sharon before looking back at his grandma. "I was just calling to ask what you did today, and where you went," Ethan said, as his grandma smiled.
"Oh, j will do that right away," Maria said happily, and from there she forgot all about Sharon.
"Now I know where he gets his traits from. Birds of the same feathers," she thought.
*******************************************************Sharon entered the room to find Ethan already lying on his side of the bed. He switched off his bedside lamp and prepared to sleep.
"Where should I sleep?" Sharon asked.
"I don't mind if you sleep on the floor," Ethan said.
Huffing, she marched to the other side of the bed and covered herself with the duvet. As soon as her head touched the pillow, she fell asleep.
*******************************************************Ethan was going down the stairs when he saw Sharon carrying a tray with freshly made hot pudding. He became curious as he watched her heading to his grandma.
"Good morning, grandma. I made this pudding for you. It has lots of milk inside. Although I know we just had breakfast, I thought you should have it," Sharon said, smiling.
"You just want to bribe me. I won't fall for it. I would never like you. Just leave here," Maria said, as Sharon nodded and left.
Ethan then came down the stairs.
"I'm leaving now, granny. Please take care of yourself," Ethan said, smiling at her.
Standing up, Maria went to him and kissed him on the cheeks. "Drive safely, my love. I'll be alright," she said as he left
"I can't believe the nerve of this girl," Maria said, sitting down and peeking around to see if anyone was nearby. When she saw that no one was around, she smiled to herself and took a look at the pudding.
"This smells so nice," she said, taking the plate and tasting it. "And it tastes so nice too," she smiled, leaning back in the chair and enjoying the pudding. Unknown to her, Sharon hid behind a pillar, watching her.
"She's so cute," Sharon thought, chuckling quietly. "This grandma likes to be bribed, and I was wrong. She's different from her nasty grandson.
Sharon observed the old woman munching her pudding, while Ethan was also watching his grandma amused by her behavior.
"This old lady is so dramatic. After making all that fuss, she still secretly ate the pudding and she seems to be enjoying it," Liam said to Ethan, who was quietly observing his grandma.
"Sir, your grandma loves to be bribed," Liam added, glancing at her too.
"Let's go," Ethan and as they left, while Sharon prepared to leave for work.
