Bab 324: The Choice Is Yours

"Little pig, little pig, let me in," joked Si Dong as he pounded on the front door of the Retribution Guild. But instead of the usual glass doors that greeted us, everything was covered with wood. The barrier practically vibrated with life as it absorbed Si Dong's knocks.

Which was pretty good if you think about it. I didn't think that the head of the Retribution Guild and the White Tiger Syndicate would enjoy being called a little pig. But it was just a theory.

Gently nudging him to the side, I placed my hand on the door and felt the bark beneath my hand welcome me.

Within seconds, the tree withdrew, leaving only the glass doors once again.

On the other side, I could see an entire army of humans, their weapons raised, as they looked at me and then the zombies behind me.

Maybe I should have gotten them to back up?
