"Phoenix, Lyov..." She breathed, her eyes hooded, "Hold Octavian still for me..."

The men behind her leaned forward immediately and grabbed Octavian's wrists.

With steady, but unyielding, movement, they together held one hand each behind his back, causing the prince to grunt and squirm.

He couldn't move much. Not with them holding him in place like that.

Then again, it wasn't that Phoenix and Lyov were particularly stronger than Octavian - though Lyov likely was, if it really came down to it. He just wasn't trying to actually escape.

Even with Lyov being more physically fit than him, she had no doubt that Octavian could slip away if he wanted to.

She liked to think she had at least a little bit of awareness to be able to tell when someone was genuinely struggling to escape and failing.

That was not the case with her dear husband Octavian.

Instead of such a struggle, he just panted and squirmed a bit.
