"Good evening." Phoenix greeted her softly, a warm smile on his lips.
She blushed, for. Absolutely no reason at all.
And looked away.
"Hi."
"What brings you here at this time of day?" He asked gently, rising from the bed and walking over to her. "You look troubled."
She bit her lip, feeling guilty about being distracted by his stunning good looks.
For some reason.
Really, she didn't even know why.
The stress of two big celebrations and the choices she was expected to make about both of them was probably getting to her.
Which was shocking and alarming in its own way, given that she had plenty of stress relief.
"I'm sorry. I don't mean to be a bother."
He chuckled quietly, lifting his hand to stroke her cheek lightly. "Nonsense. There is nothing you could possibly do to bother me."
Soon I'll fight off this bout of tiredness that's been lingering for days.
