Bab 557: I'm not that coy, I'm only teasing

The palace hallways were full of guests, staff, and servants scurrying to and fro preparing for the festivities. Nobles from neighboring kingdoms had begun arriving for the grand wedding ceremony and subsequent ball, taking rooms in the palace itself and within the surrounding town.

Many of the dignitaries from all across the continent would attend. It was a chance for diplomacy between nations.

Some countries saw it as an opportunity for trade talks or negotiations. Others sought to establish ties of friendship and camaraderie. Many of the delegates had brought gifts of various sorts as tokens of their appreciation and gratitude.

There was no shortage of exotic foodstuffs and finery to be sampled.

Although she did her best to maintain a professional demeanor while dealing with matters relating to the wedding preparations, Isabelle struggled to hide her excitement and enthusiasm. Everywhere she looked, something new caught her eye.
