Bab 514: I'm not getting side-tracked, I'm getting kitten-assaulted

She was minding her own business, sitting in her comfortable chair, staring at the ceiling, mentally berating herself for how awkward her conversations with Vaughn had been today.

And out of nowhere.

A clear blue sky.

No provocation.

Snowball pounced her from above.

"MRAAAAWW!"

He landed heavily on top of her head.

He wasn't that heavy, fortunately, so she didn't get kitten-induced spinal trauma.

But boy. He felt heavy to her when he suddenly dropped on her head.

She startled and flailed, as Snowball briefly attempted to sit atop her head like a royal cushion.

Only to slip and fall down into her lap with a startled little kitten yelp.

Then he recovered with surprising speed.

"Mraaaah~!!" The white kitten meowed loudly as he looked up at her.

His pretty blue eyes stared at her in indignation, as if she'd personally ejected him from his comfortable golden throne upon her head.
