Bab 399: I'm not missing work, I'm on a day off

She yawned and stretched as she awoke.

For once, her little kitten wasn't next to her after such a nap, and she would have been worried by that, but as soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Alexander idly playing tug of war with the adorable little baby.

He held one of Snowball's toys in one hand while the little guy struggled with all his might - in vain - to get it free.

He had a faint smile on his lips as he looked down at the cat, one hand propped up on the couch's arm, cheek leaning against his knuckles.

Seeing that she was awake, the redheaded man smiled, letting go of the toy and allowing the cat to grab it in victory.

Snowball shook it back and forth hard enough that he knocked himself over onto the ground.

Alexander snorted out a small chuckle and looked down at the beast.
