She had very pleasant dreams.
Snowball purring was enough to keep her grounded, to lull her into a peaceful sleep that felt like it was desperately needed.
When she woke, Snowball was sitting right in front of her, staring at her. Intently. As if staring at her would make her wake up.
Well.
She did wake up, so...
Maybe her baby was on to something.
Snowball perked up a little when he saw her eyes open. His little paw lifted up, hovered in the air and wobbled a bit, as if he were trying to aim - or perhaps balance - and then softly plapped down on her face.
The kitten squeaked inquisitively, pawing at her cheek, sniffing at her. He nuzzled at her chin.
His nose was cold.
She giggled softly at the kitten's antics and his efforts to wake her up. She gently took the kitten's paw and moved it so it was off her face, petting the little white ball of fur fondly.
