"How wonderful..." She heard Jazara hum as she took her seat beside Isabelle, giving a delicate little smile, and surveying Isabelle.
She hadn't noticed how close Jazara was until that moment, and it took all of her effort not to visibly startle when Jazara suddenly spoke so close to her.
She smelled of some kind of sweet flower that Isabelle didn't recognize.
Isabelle glanced over to her side, squinting at Jazara. "Hm...?"
Jazara chuckled softly, her lips quirking in amusement.
"Oh, it's nothing important. Just thinking about how sweet you are with the kitten." She waved a hand dismissively, then glanced up with a sly expression.
"What else should I have expected, though? You are his mother." She purred, in that strange tone again. "Any mother would be doting to such a sweet little creature like that kitten."
Isabelle hummed at her words, not particularly warmed by them. Something about them...just rubbed her the wrong way.
