The garden surrounding the palace grounds was beautifully maintained even during the ongoing festival. The paths were neatly paved and lined with colorful flowers, shrubs and trees of many different types, carefully arranged to be aesthetically pleasing.
In some areas, beds of flowers and bushes lined the edges of the walkway - such delicate and beautiful greenery surviving in the winter snows no doubt solely because of Alexander's abilities.
A simple glance at any of the royal gardens showed just how much time and effort Alexander dedicated to the flora of the palace, and the thought of her husband earned a small smile on her lips.
Several fountains and statues decorated the area as they walked. Most of these were water fountains or sculptures of important figures and events in history, though she had no idea what the figures referred to. The water fountains were frozen, and the snow piling atop their still forms created an eerie beauty.
