"Snowball...!" She called after the kitten as she crawled under the table. "Baby, don't go running where mommy can't see...!"
"Ah! Don't leave Mommy alone..." Isabelle whined as she squinted and looked for him.
She found the fluffy baby playing with some dust bunnies in the corner of the room.
"Snowball! Sweetie...c'mere..."
She scooped him up, giggling when the tiny animal protested at first, before it started purring contently in her arms.
She kissed him on the nose. "What a good boy..."
Her prime minister, who'd observed her derailing the meeting to hunt down her kitten, arched an amused brow.
"We seem to have been...interrupted?"
Isabelle blushed as he went to return to his seat. "He ran under the table..."
"Indeed...I will...attempt to avoid sudden noises going forward." She said.
