Bab 67: I'm not smuggling, I'm snuggling

The dream was fuzzy.

Vague.

Unsure.

Something about flowers.

Maybe someone was burying her in them?

Perhaps. But she couldn't tell if they were covering her in rose petals, or if they were laying flowers on her grave.

That seemed important to know, didn't it?

She woke with a start when there was a sharp pain in her ass.

"What the fu...!"

She jumped away from the pain and whirled on who caused it - but there was no one there.

Rather, there was no one visible. Her room was empty and quiet, still too early in the evening for her husbands to have meandered in and gone to bed with her yet.

But something definitely jabbed me! I'm sure!

She squinted and pulled the blanket up with some hesitation.

A tiny white kitten blinked up at her.

"...I'm sorry." She blurted to the cute thing. As if it could know the angry thoughts she'd had about it only moments before.

It headbutted her knee.
