Bab 51: I'm not slacking, I'm being voluntarily kidnapped

Isabelle stood with a grimace and groaned loudly. "This is the most tedious shit I've ever had to deal with and I used to work for a major corporation."

Luckily, no one was around to hear that. 

Which was why she said it out loud. She still had a functioning brain to mouth filter.

She wandered over to a chair, away from all the endless reports about international relations, and slumped over her windowsill, staring out at the kingdom below.

"I wanna breaaakkkkk...." She groaned pathetically at no one.

She ducked her head in her arms. "Uwaahhh."

The weight of her duties as empress had been increasing lately.

She didn't fancy being almost-assassinated a third time, or letting the rebellion get any stronger when she wasn't even at fault for her predecessors' crazy choices. And she wanted to help this kingdom she'd been given the reins to.

But it was so exhausting.

She just...

She wanted everyone to be happy.
