Bab 20: Jane's Power
"Paris!" Mary finally looked to the east as well and at the same time was surprised that Erza could sense power in a place so far away, an ocean apart.
The problem was that she even knew the exact location.
'The limit of her power is too scary,' she thought.
'She would be unstoppable if she could develop her power to the max, perhaps even take a new step, becoming a Legendary Vampire Deity.'
"Miss, do you want to go to Paris?" asked Mary, looking at Erza again.
"Yes!" The red-haired woman replied and straightened her back.
"We'll go now," she said.
"And make sure to rent a hotel near the Eiffel Tower," she added.
Mary nodded and drove to the airport.
When driving, she was really fast, even running red lights without regard for the police.
David and Jane were completely clueless.
To this day, David still fights, beating up the gangsters even as they begin to fear and beg for mercy.
He really enjoyed the moment when he used this power of his. Things that only existed in his imagination now belonged to him. Not even crying could stop him.
Jane also just kept watching. She seemed to like his cruelty. It made her smile every now and then.
If he wasn't ruthless after having powers, Jane would be worried because one sometimes lost everything by being too kind while having powers.
When the gangsters started saying various nonsense like they would do anything for David as long as he stopped beating them up, only then did he stop.
His hands were fine, there wasn't even any redness, let alone turning blue.
However, the gangsters had many burns on their bodies. Even their clothes were full of holes due to David's lightning.
Jane approached David when the latter stopped.
When she arrived beside him, she asked, "Your strength can be said to be far above average, how does it feel to have such strength after actually using it?"
"Very good, no less than kissing you," David replied with a faint smile.
His confidence instantly reaching a different level after the fight, he did not even hesitate to tease Jane a little while answering her question.
Jane didn't mind being teased, she even laughed softly.
"Now let's take care of them," she said, looking at the gangsters who had been lying helpless.
David wasn't quite sure how she was going to take care of them, but she didn't do anything right away either.
"What are you waiting for?" asked David, feeling like Jane was waiting for someone.
"You'll find out soon enough," she replied without elaborating.
Since she said that, David chose to continue waiting.
Apparently about 15 minutes later, he saw a man coming, a man who appeared to be in his early 30s.
His appearance was very ordinary, like a typical office worker.
He was carrying a fairly large bag, and approached Jane.
"Miss, this is your bag," he said, placing the bag in front of her.
After that, he left immediately.
Jane did not look at him as he left. She picked up the bag, and opened it.
When the bag opened, David couldn't help but take a closer look.
He found many small objects inside the bag.
The objects were round like balls, made of iron.
There were no visible lines or holes, it was hard to tell what they were.
However, David guessed that they were the mini-bombs Jane had mentioned.
"Jane, don't tell me you're going to put these things into their heads yourself?" asked David, confusing the gangsters.
"Yeah," Jane replied casually.
"Do you know how to perform surgery? And how to do it here?" David became more confused.
"You will soon see how my powers work," Jane replied with a quiet laugh.
Apparently she didn't find David's confusion strange.
"Look!" Jane pointed her hand forward.
Right after that, David found that the gangsters' bodies were lifted into the air.
Not stopping there, he also saw their foreheads open, revealing what was inside their heads.
Instantly, his mind became dizzy as what he saw was their brains.
The gangsters' eyes were wide open as they looked at each other's heads.
What was strange was that no blood came out, as if it wasn't their heads that were opened.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The mini-bombs inside the bag flew towards the gangsters, every single one of them going into the head of every single one of the gangsters.
After that, only then did their foreheads close again and it did not leave any marks as if nothing had happened.
BANG!
The gangsters' bodies fell simultaneously.
Spontaneously, they all touched their foreheads, astonished by what happened.
"What kind of power is this?" asked David, looking at Jane strangely.
When we talk about the power of lightning or fire, or physical strength, David would not find it strange because it is very common in fantasy stories.
However, the power that Jane displayed seemed to be a unique type.
Whether it was space manipulation or body manipulation, David could not speculate.
"My power is the reason for my ambition," Jane replied.
"I know you're thinking about the power to manipulate things. Your guess is right, but my power is the kind that can manipulate everything. Space, bodies, earth, air, anything in this world. The reason why when you drank that blood you didn't cause any damage was because I moved you to a different space from your apartment."
