Nan Feng sprinted up the mountain.

It was nearly dark, the mountain road blurred in her vision, and she was in such a rush. When she was about two li in, she thought she heard a cry for help from not too far away.

Could it be Wild Brother?

The voice seemed wrong, but she could not tell who it was.

Perhaps someone had found Wild Brother in the forest, hence the cry for assistance.

Nan Feng hurried towards the source of the voice.

However, as she neared a thicket, she stepped on something she didn't see and abruptly found herself flung into the air.

A net enclosed her tightly, hoisting her off the ground!

This must be a hunter's net, Nan Feng thought, one the villagers had unwittingly caught her in.

It's odd, the hunters usually mark their traps to avoid harming the villagers. Yet, there are none today?

Or did she just not see it in the dark?
