The child kidnapper paused in his tracks exactly one second before he continued marching toward his house.

"Wait! Kiyoshi-san! Don't take Ame away!"

Midori chased after Kiyoshi, panic fueling her steps. She had to reach him before he reached the door.

She had to stop him before he slammed the door shut, locking her out.

Ame-chan...!

Midori's hand shot out, pressing against the smooth door surface. She must not let him shut her out.

Kiyoshi, with surprising strength, reached out and pulled her effortlessly into the house before slamming the door shut. Disoriented, Midori stumbled back a step, her eyes widening in bewilderment as she turned to face him.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

Kiyoshi calmly walked past Midori with Ame in his arms.

"You took the words out of my mouth. What the hell do you think you were doing?" He snapped.

"I did nothing!" Midori cried out.
