Bab 245: Chapter 245: Preparing for Spouse Assembly (Part 1)

Mateo carried Clara into the house, carefully laying her down and tucking her in with a blanket. Clara pushed the blanket aside, turning away from Mateo.

Mateo patiently covered her again, but Clara pushed it off once more. Back and forth it went. Mateo didn't lose his temper, but Clara was starting to get frustrated. She turned to look at Mateo, eyes misting over. Sniffling, Clara pushed Mateo away, but with his large stature, she couldn't budge him no matter how hard she tried. Clara was infuriated. "Why are you doing this? You've been ignoring me, not caring about me, not even touching me anymore. Weren't you disgusted with me? Why are you still being nice to me?"

Clara was like an unreasonable child, crying as she spoke, her pouty expression resembling that of a bullied kid. Mateo was dumbfounded by what he saw. Now, any lingering apprehension in his heart disappeared. Cupping Clara's face in his hands, he kissed her deeply.
