Bab 63: AOT: It Was My Choice Chapter Sixty Two: Rose's Restaurant
After purchasing the house, Hange left to do her military work and I was alone, standing at the side of the road and waving her off.
"I don't really know when I'll see her again," I said and sighed, staring at Hange's back as she disappeared into the crowd of people in the street.
And then I turned around, Hands in my pockets as I continued walking with my briefcase. After walking for a while, I found myself standing in front of a restaurant, A fragrant aroma assaulting my nose.
"Whoa, I haven't smelt something so good since the last time I cooked," I said and then opened the doors of the restaurant.
It wasn't a large building but it was spacious enough for twenty tables with two chairs at each of them. The doors jingled as I made my way inside, The aroma seemingly growing stronger.
I reached for a nearby empty chair, sitting down and a young man wearing white overalls approached me, he was holding a slip of paper.
Upon reaching me, He bowed.
"Good Afternoon sir," He said, "Welcome to Rose's Restaurant,"
'Rose, huh?' I thought, 'The name's a bit good for their world's naming sense,'
"Okay," I said, "And I take it that the paper in your hand is the menu,"
The young man nodded and handed the paper to me.
"Choose anything you want and I'll take it straight to the chef," He said and I gave a slight nod before browsing through the menu.
The food was delighting although there were few menu options with meat in them, I mean meat is really scarce right now. That is due to the reason that Livestock are really limited and very few are owned by nobles who make the prices high.
I had a lot of meat in my Inventory right now, Unused meat so I guess maybe I should open a restaurant that would generate a stable income for my girls to live here in Wall Sina without me having to send money all the way from Boot Camp.
That's a really good idea and then have Carla with her nice cooking run the whole thing, Maybe Frieda can assist her from time to time but she must be in the Kitchen too! Hidden from the sight of the other people!
Carla would be a chef too of course, She ain't being Eye candy to Pervs that roam the streets.
"Give me the Vegetable Meat Soup," I said, "With some rice,"
He nodded and took back the menu while I patted my pockets, the jingle of coins filling the air.
His eyes shone as his view of me changed, Especially when I started bringing silver upon silver coin out of my pocket and putting it on the table.
"I know I kept those Bronzes in here somewhere," I muttered while he as well as the other Customers stared at me in disbelief.
The Silver coins had already reached a staggering amount of 30 and they were still coming in.
"Sir, We have ch-"
"Aha," I said, bringing out 5 bronze coins and handing them to him, "There's a tip too,"
He chuckled a little.
"Thank you sir," He said, taking possession of the coins momentarily and disappearing into the Kitchen.
I chucked the Silver coins into my pockets with a bright smile on my face.
'Yeah, Fuck you Male Customers,' I thought.
A minute later, He returned with a tray of the food I had ordered. The wondrous aroma filled the air as he dropped the plate of food in front of me, extending a spoon.
"Have a delightful meal, Dear Sir," He said, "And if you want anything else, Please don't hesitate to call upon me, My name is Claude,"
And with that, The waiter left to attend to the other customers.
I took a sip of the soup and an explosion of sweetness made an appearance on my tongue, It was amazing. The leaves were boiled to perfection and even the taste of the soup was something else, Enhanced Perception made me able to perceive every single part of the soup and learn what made it so special.
The meat used in this soup was fresh, It wasn't one of those day old meat or two day old meat… Nah, It was TODAY'S MEAT!
'The Owner must have access to such an amazing supply,' I thought, 'Although my Inventory makes the meat in there fresh, But I haven't really stored much things there apart from Meat and my Spare ODM gear there too,'
I didn't need to store ODM gas as the system generated Limitless Fuel for me…
The next thing to contemplate on was the Spices, The quality of the spices was remarkable. They made sure to accentuate the taste of the soup a lot and the Pepper, the pepper used was obviously fresh as well.
Now another thing to note was the foundation of the Soup as well, The water used was boiled very well. Water was a commodity that was accessible to everyone in the Walls but it wasn't too pure, Once again, Ever wonder why there were many people in Wall Maria or why the Eldians lost 30% of their population upon the fall of Wall Maria… A Whole 30%!
This was because of the fact that since Wall Maria was the closest to the outside walls, Everything there was fresh. The air was fresher than that of the outer walls as Titans did nothing to damage nature, Rather they destroyed human constructs.
And this water was boiled so much that it resembled that of Wall Maria's water although there was a considerable difference between both of them but still, The water attributed a lot to the taste.
The meat and leaves were the last piece of the puzzle, As well as being equally fresh, They were also boiled to be a little bit soft and easy to chew but the spices further heightened the taste… It was truly amazing.
This was an amazing meal and without even realizing it, I had devoured everything on my plate including the rice with a smile on my face.
'I need to meet the Chef,' I thought.
