Bab 40: Poking the Bear

"Didn't your brother return home yesterday evening?" Nazmi asked. She had taken to hanging out in Samir's office while he worked, and this time she was sitting on the edge of his desk.

"Why does that matter to you?" The Prince grumbled. "Get off my desk."

"I don't think I will," she denied his request and continued. "His arrival itself doesn't really matter to me, but Asa said you and the others would be having a meeting after he got back. That's what I'm interested in."

Samir rolled his eyes. "It's not as if the information discussed will be relayed to you. I certainly won't be telling you anything, and the king, queen and my brothers definitely won't either."

"How are you so sure?" Nazmi asked, finally standing from her spot on the desk. She turned to face him and leaned forward, resting her elbows on the wooden surface. Her chin rested comfortably in between her hands. "Maybe one of your relatives will really like me."
