Bab 32: Kindness

Something snapped in her head like a nerve breakage or maybe worse. Her shaky eyes staring blanky at his face with no words left to utter in that deep silence. 

What did she just hear? That awful thing, was it even real? 

Tightly she shut her eyes and after a few seconds looked back at him, "You are kidding, right?"

"No. I was afraid of what will happen to you once you know the truth but the reason why I rejected every girl or a boy you sent to me was all because of this. I acted like having a secret lover but honestly, mom, do you think there's even a need to do that." He knew he had to let her know about it someday or other but he had no idea it would be today. A sigh escaped his lips watching his mother falling in a dilemma. There won't be any successor anymore, there won't be a child to continue their bloodline, everything will come to an end with Ethan… those thoughts of her were so obvious, he felt bad for letting her down but it was the truth.
